I Am Alone in the House, But I Hear Noises

That can only mean one thing.

The other day, I opened my back door and, too late to stop it, a great big lizard ran into my house and into my bathroom. I tried to herd it out the door, but instead, it disappeared under my washer and dryer. There is no way I can move my large appliances around the try to herd the little scamp out in the direction of the door.

I have no idea where it's been and what it's been doing. I think I've been hoping it is just sitting in a dark corner somewhere, confused and waiting to die.

Maybe try to lure it into a cat carrier or similar by using mealworms or boiled egg as bait?

Fence lizards. Those suckers can get big.

Would have been much easier to herd!

Day 11 of captivity.

Lizard found, stunned, somewhat emaciated, but alive, on kitchen floor.

Apprehended and released from prison. Lizard was stupefied by fresh air and sunlight long enough for mug shot.

If you see this lizard, close your doors.
