I was given blue leghorn eggs and ancona eggs..
These are the blue leghorn chicks (Im very sure)

These are the anconas...

But what the heck are these???

They are supposed to be anconas... but they shouldnt have the brown on their back...maybe they are some sort of leghorns?

Do they really have that brown in their down or is it the lighting that makes it look that way? The latter pictures look like the Anconas to me. The picture you have labeled as Ancona could be as well, but cant get a very good look at them.

I think first and second pictures are Leghorns-you know that blue pen can produse black birds to.Strange ones are Anconas

I agree with VE... If the bottom pic is just the lighting in the brooder then those are the anconas... The middle one almost have too much black for Ancona chicks, but I could be wrong about the middle ones too.

Remember that blue birds don't breed true. The top 2 pictures could be the blue and black variations of the blue genetics. The bottom ones are most likely your Anconas.
