I am considering to pinion all the goslings born I have from now on.

Every two month I trim the feathers of my ducks and geese, I didn't realized that one of my geese girls had manage to evade regular haircuts for a long time. She flew and my neighbor found her on the kindergarten school on the street. The neighbor recognized my goose and returned her to me. I trimmed her wings and she is back on my yard.

After this experience, I am considering to Pinion all of my next generations of geese to hatch. Only the originals will get haircuts.

Should I do that on day 1 or day 2?

You can pinion them any time up to around 7 days. They younger they are the less blood flow there is.

I just did it and I notice the goslings act like nothing happens. They didn't get sick, they act like nothing happens.
