I am doing it again

I told my dh that my last hatch was the last hatch of the year. So I just had to look under hatching eggs for sale to see what I was missing out on, and I came across Dipsey Doodle Doos green eggers. Can anyone guess what I am setting in the bater this morning? Dipsey the eggs made it here in great shape and are just beautiful. Is there a cure for this hatching disease? All dh said is that we are not spending all our vacation working on a coop. I wonder what he considers all?

I cleaned the bator, packed up and put everything away in the attic...I am hoping "out of sight, out of mind"....

I now understand why everyone says this is addicting!!! After my orpingtons hatched out, and all was quiet, with no more hatching to look forward too....I felt lost....I miss it....I want to hatch some more, even if for someone else....sniff, sniff

Its like after opening all your presents on Christmas morning, and all that excitement washing away.....

My hubby wants me to only set a few at a time so that I'm always excited about an impending hatch, but we are not being over run with chickies/chickens, lol. I told him no way - what if only one hatches??!! It would be all alone...... But, in theory it's not a horrible idea.....

I have eggs hatching right this moment and more due in by Friday! I also had said this last batch was it, but...here I go again!!!

DH doesn't know yet...

I don't think there is a cure...I'm having my first experience with it all and wow this is such a rush!

Someone gave us some eggs two days ago and we didn't really know what to do with it.

So now two days later there is more weight to the eggs so they are still alive!

AND today I thought I saw one move and though no that is silly then I picked the egg up and wham she is moving inside.

This is so exciting! What a rush.

Now I'm not sure if the one egg was pecked or is breaking free? How can you tell?

I don't know but this is so exciting. My husband says I'm on drugs. lol
