Send your family to the movies. Or, stop serving chicken. When they complain, tell them the chickens are all still feathered & since they won't let you process them, there's no chicken for dinner.
I figure I'm the Mommy & my kids have no say. They can help, leave or just be quiet. My husband (if I had one) would be in a world of hurt if he tried to tell me he wouldn't help provide healthy food for the table.
Sorry if that's not P.C., but it's just the way things work in our family. All 4 kids are grown now & grateful that I ran such a tight ship.
