i am impatient!!

i was going to wait till tomorrow to candle the eggs, but i am going to do it today because i want to know how many are developing. it's driving me nuts. i'm too excited.

this is going to be a loooooooooooooooooong 35 days!!!

so i am going to try to get quackers to take a bath tonight. duckie will be locked in the spare bedroom. she needs to eat and drink anyway. she didn't yesterday, i'm not even sure she pooped yesterday. it didn't smell aweful, so i am going to guess she didn't HAHAHA

mom has been sitting on them for a week. i don't own an incubator, duckyfromoz said that's what quackers is for lol.

Just remember to have a good look at those candling websites first so you know what to look for - and dont toss any eggs you are uncertain about- if in doubt- leave them an extra few days and try again. Good luck and cant wait to hear about what you see !

Is she biting you or hissing if you approach the nest? If so just leave her and wait til she gets off herself. Otherwise if you can carefully sneak a few eggs out from underneath her- have a quick look and pop them back- At least it will give you some practice for when she is off the nest and you can do them all- and also cure the impatience you are feeling.

i dont know how you guys do it! I just dont think i would be able to make it through an incubation, heck i was chomping at the bit to get the chicks i ordered an i had an arrival date lol, more power to you!

i tried to pet her and she snapped at me. i just let her be. i noticed when i got addicted to the wii and let duckie back into the room that she came out. little brat. i will try again tomorrow. we are also having flashlight (torch lol) malfunctions at the moment. i think i need to go buy one. i was going to try to do it with my lamp.

trust me, i am going insane and it's only been a WEEK!! i still have a month to go

and of course i have scovies. they take 35 days rather than 28 like all other duck breeds
