My daughter and I started our back yard flock this spring. They are now 7weeks old. (bottom picture) New Hampshire red (left) is clearly a pullet. The Golden laced Wyandotte (center) is clearly a roo. The Dominique on the cinder block is the one i am in denial about. It had all the markings it should have had when it was a chick. Dark front of legs (they still are) and a single white spot on the top of the head. The were all supposed to be sexed..what are the chances of getting two males out of three? Pretty good i guess :(

The comb has really come on in the last 10 days or so..I have had them outside since they were 4 weeks old. Can that speed up their development?

Okay..The rooster votes were correct. I took him into see the chicken man at a local feed store on Sunday and he confirmed that it is indeed a boy. The chicken man said he had a home for him. He gave me a 8 week Black Australorp lop..and promised me it was a hen :) Thanks for all the help!
