Yup, They've even got horses! I got 5 ducks off pet finder. Also check craigslist. If you just want pets, you might find some older hens that don't lay anymore.

I just looked on Petfinder as only found one article about the 'Chicken Movement'. I've tried Craigslist too, no luck. I'm in Ventura County.

But just to ask, if you don’t have enough money to buy the hens, do you have enough to house and feed them?

True, my ducks were $15 to buy, but probably spent thousands housing, feeding and especially vet bills.
