Hello everyone, I made my profile a while ago but just now saying hello ,
I have 2 chicken kids, they are my little backyard buddies that have completly stolen my heart.... And yard, lol. I have already learned so much from reading through this forum and everyone seems to be so kind that I decided to join myself. I am going to have a ton of wintertime questions and we are still working on the coop so any advice is always welcome. Thanks for this site, it is extremly helpful.

Thank you for all the welcomes, you guys have a fun little community here. This is really embarresing but I actually don't know my chickens breeds as i rescued them from a craigslist ad. I think one is a Rhode Island Red but the other one, I cant figure her breed out at all. If anyone wants to guess, I uplaoded some pics of my girls.

If all red RIR. If white on back likely Golden Buff or also referred to as Comets. The Golden Buff tends to have a paler leg coloring and the RIR tends to have a bright yellow to orange leg color. Both lay large brown eggs and the RIR may also lay x-large. What did the add say they were?:):frow
