This is speckle black my rooster,is the big one and my layer is the one with weird wings
Hi I am new to backyard chickens, I am happy to be here and learn about raising my 6 chixkens 2 are a year old that people have me my chixkens are very friendly and seem to like new people but my rooster prefers not to when I try and pick up one of my chixkens he bites me thing about it is I had the hens before the rooster and my Plymouth Rock named speckle is basically my pet and when I try to get her BANG I get bit

Hello! You might want to do some planning ahead with your rooster, as he could get aggressive. Of course, I don't know your boy, and he may just be jealous.
The best treatment is prevention. Maybe you could put him elsewhere when you handle the girls? Do they fuss when you pick them up?

Glad you could join us here! Congratulations on getting your new chickens! Yes sometimes roosters can be very protective of their hens so may see you as a threat when you try to pick them up. Nowadays many folks forgo having a rooster due to aggression problems and often damage to hens as well. Unless you need fertile eggs to sell or hatch, hens are quite happy NOT to have a rooster harassing them all the time. They will lay just as many eggs without one, albeit non-fertile ones.

We main,y use him to get up in the morning and my pullets really like him we had a Plymouth Rock rooster he and our Asian black pullet died 2 nights in a row but when he died my other Plymouth Rock was still there somehow they disappeared without a trace no feathers no nothing
