Hi to everyone at BYC although I have just joined today over the past couple of years I have visited the site from time to time.
I live in Northern Ireland and have been keeping chickens since the latter part of 2011. Having built my own cope I started off with two Light Sussex birds given to me by a friend. My hens don't just give me eggs but pleasure watching them and when I loose one I feel it.
I have posted a call for help today as I have my second very sick hen in two weeks, so if you get the chance please have a read.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. My wife and I visited Ireland for our 37th wedding anniversary and loved your beautiful countryside. We are planning to take our granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) for a visit there within the next few years. Light Sussex are a wonderful breed. They are very hardy, friendly and gentle (my children made lap pets of them), and good layers of large, brown eggs. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
