I caught a coon!

I moved the trap to the barn, and caught...a BEAGLE..yes a BEAGLE, I had used tinned cat food as the bait but caught nothing but a beagle with that, so the next night i reset it with some err ...'aged' chicken from the lame meat chick we processed and no one ate lol and I caught a baby coon... probably about 7lbs, there are at least two more babies (we saw them trying to figure out how to get in the barn) so I'm resetting the trap tonight.

What kind of trap did you use? I just moved into an area with coons...

I caught Mr.Peacock in a cage trap, he was mad.

BTW, I tried for about 2 weeks to catch anything but a cat with soft cat food, and marshmellows and my coons were NOT interested in those foods. It was when I put some err...fermenting (off) chicken in the trap that I actually caught one. It was pretty smelly stuff lol

I used non fertile eggs from the incubator, placed in the back, break a few. Coons love eggs. skunks, and possum.

Never catch anything but these 3 with this bait.
