So I currently have 9 pullets, 8-9 weeks of age. 4 Easter Eggers (two brown, two white), 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Black Australorps (1 of which is incredibly tiny, I call her Dinky), and one Naked Neck.
Once they start laying I plan to find homes for five of them, probably, and only keep 4. The Naked Neck is staying for sure, but what other breed(s) should I keep?
Egg laying is important, but so is personality. I can't decide between them all, I just know I only want to keep four of them once they're laying.
Advice please? Also which will continue to lay in semi cold weather (60 degrees)?

I would keep the two Black Australorps for sure. They are the best layers of the four breeds (especially in cold winter weather) and are also the friendliest and most docile of the four breeds. If you are intent on keeping the Naked Neck, then I would keep one of the Easter Eggers as the fourth chicken. The Rhode Island Reds are good layers, but they are also the most aggressive of the four breeds (especially the roosters).

where in the heck do you live that 60 is cold? chickens prefer 60 over anything warmer than that.
If personality is being considered, then you will be to only one that can make that call.

Ok you guys don't need to be rude. Where I live the average temperature during summer is 110 degrees. Obviously the chickens will have ample shade and water and I know people out here with chickens.

Wow, i'd love to live there! Where we live, we practically wear shorts in 30 degree weather lol.

I have one Rhode Island Red, she has gotten into a few fights but can be such a sweet heart. She is 3 years old and has been giving me an egg a day. I dont have any experience with the other breeds, but I would personally keep the Easter Eggers because of their egg color

(i'm not trying to be rude, just making a joke because here in Maine, the average temp in the winter is below zero.)

We'll since two of them are rescues (the Naked Neck and one of the white EEs) I was thinking I should keep them both (they are now living with the other girls, but those two always stay together and I don't know if they'd do well without each other). Then I was thinking of keeping the two RiRs OR two other EEs. Don't get me wrong, my BAs are cute too, but Dinky (the tiny one) isn't so friendly and the other one just follows her around. I wish I had the space to add more to the coop, because I would love to keep 8 instead of 4, I think it just may be pushing my space limits. How big of a coop and a run do 8 chickens need? Would it be possible for me to add on to this to make it work? (
Currently 3ft by 7ft and 4ft tall, plus 2ft boxes on either side. Can I extend on one side of even on the back? How would that work?

By the way, yes I let them run around in play pens from 5:30am until 7:30 am, and they do have shade after that point until sundown.
