So this is my first time owning chickens and I didn't know they purred like cats. I was holding my 3 day old Australorp and she started purring and fell asleep in my hand! It was sooooo cute. Do all chickens purr?

Ahhh. She loves you!
I've never heard my rooster purr. But the hens all purr.
