Agreed. Same for my EEs.It varies. One of mine laid at about 6-7 months, & the other waited about 9-10 months to lay.

Agreed.She could be a Black Orpington split to lavender. Essentially they're just black but carry the gene and there's no difference in outward appearance from a black bird. With hatchery birds, Orpingtons and Australorps are difficult to tell apart.
