Hi, about 2hours ago I dropped my week old duckling from 4ft, she landed on my carpet on her back. she is in trouble, she is peeping and uncomfortable, she keeps trying to poop every 30 secs or so, no exageration. all that is coming out is a white milkey substance, just a drop or less each time. i have given her "save-a-chick" mixed in water, i have not given her any food.
I fear she has ruptured something internally???
any suggestions for helping her?

Aside from letting her rest and making sure she has fresh water, keeping her company and chatting with her, I don't know much you can do. Unless you can get her to a vet.

Can you add water to crumbles and make a slurry to see if she can eat?

thank you amiga... i think she is not going to make it much longer... i should do the humane thing and not let her suffer through this, but i keep holding out hope she will come back... when is too much suffering too much?? that is what i am asking myself and God!!

thank you very much, my heart is sad. i feel so bad that i was carless & let her fall out of my hands.
Don't be sad or blame yourself, it was just an accident, I can tell you something that I did that was a LOT worst. I accidently step right on one of my call ducks. IT WAS HORRIFIC..talk about wanting to put a gun to your head. that would be me..
