I dropped an egg😢 I feel guilty

Please help me out. I was candling my fertile chick egg, and I dropped it….. it broke. There was a slight chance that it wasn’t fertile, since we’ve candled it before and didn’t see much progress. Our first incubator was faulty and the shipment had a delay. I’m really hoping it wasn’t fertile.
I don’t know how to feel… it was just an egg, but I feel like I just ripped an innocent chicks life away because of my accident. I don’t know what to do

I'm sure that was really disappointing to lose the egg but in the end it is just an egg, not a live chick and you're not sure if it was fertile. When hatching eggs you have to expect some losses sometimes for whatever reason. It just wasn't meant to be and you shouldn't stress over it.
