Well the second Emachine lost it's sound so I took it back and got my money. Now i've got to wait for the check to come in the mail. Then I'll get another.

Wow, I wonder why? Our Emachine is the longest running computer here. Even out runs my 4 month old Dell Studio, which has already seen the service dept and my custom made (very expensive) system didn't last more than a year.

I have never had any issues with my emachine. It has worked great with no issues....sorry you didn't have a good experience! Hopefully, your next computer will work great!

I got a call from my dau who works at a call center and she said that alot of people are having problems with them. It may just be the 1810.
My first was a Dell 4100 I had a few problems with it a few times but it lasted a long time 9-10yrs.
I wonder if I should have just had it fixed. It needed a new HD and op sys.
