lately the TWo containers not so full
but I am a day behind on giving them the Jap Beetles....
Is it okay to give them the one day old dead ones esp if I rinse and rinse them....? I even poured boiling water over the dead and semi dead beetles....
It is so hot outside I store the beetles on covered front porch in several "cricket baskets " some have long tubes screening... others are pails.
Hubby made me lids out of "perorated "vinyl soffiting panels" cut in circles..... with a chain atached with a cotter clip or cotter pin... To keep from losing the "lid" I own 3 of each "cricket " containers or basket they were approx $3.50 or so.... a piece
I number them
I take the "cricket tubes" or wired tubes... into the garden with me at nite or dusk
and put the Jap Beetles in them while checking my plant. Each end of the crickets tubes have snap lids with attached....so they can flip off and on fast.. the tubes alo have a small rope handle.....
Occ will get a grasshopper or another type beetles too
