I feel like a bad goat mommy....

So my goat has been tied during the day and put in a dog kennel at night. Well tonite is his first night outside in his fenced pen. He has a calf hut for a shelter. Well we just got home and the more guy is standing out in the raining....waiting for me...what do I do? I don't want to keep bringing him to the kennel because he has to learn to deal with his pen....I feel so bad.

Did he have a moveable house in his kennel that would fit in the calf hut?

Lock him back where he's comfortable and pick a night when it's not raining..

Its not raining really that much tonite...But he is just standing out here yelling "Come Eat Me...Come Eat Me" lol. I just worry so much about. I've gotta convince people to let me get him a friend. Do does and wethers usually get along well? Or would it be better to get him another wether for a buddy?

I agree.... I would put him back in his kennel for the night and try again later. I think he would do fine with either one, a doe or a wether.

Can you put the pet porter in the calf hut? Maybe then he'll at least get in the calf hut when you take out the pet porter?

yea I will try that tomorow...he is just gonna have to rough it tonite....And I am just gonna have to realize he is growing up and I can't be his mommy forever!

If he doesn't have a friend then I would highly recommend getting him one. They don't do well as single animals.
