Glad you found a name to go with the disease. Some Dr's like to look at women and say "it's all in your head" for some reason.

Farmer Kitty - did you ever use the bar of soap remedy under your sheets at night? It works for alot of people. Me inlcuded.

I was diagnosed with fibro. in 1996, had symptoms since 1986. A year later I was diagnosed with 2 intravertebral hemangiomas. This year I was diagnosed with Raynaud's Syndrome, which typically occurs with Lupus and RA, not fibromyalgia. The hemagiomas made it difficult to tell what symptoms were coming from the fibro. and vice versa.
Three months ago I began taking large doses of vitamin D3 and the majority of my fibro. symptoms have resolved, leaving me only the hemangiomas and the Raynaud's to deal with on a daily basis.
I'm glad you finally got a diagnosis. I highly recommend that anyone dealing with it see a rheumatologist for treatment, if at all possible. Better to see a doctor that deals with it daily than a general practioner that may see a handful of patients with it. Just MHO.

Gritstar beat me to it !! You HAVE to get a referral to an endocrinologist. You will not get adequate medical care from a family physician that know little to nothing about complicated endocrine disorders.

I also take the Calcitriol (potent vitamin D) and calcium for my parathyroid issues, but has done wonders with my aching pain wracked body. Please go get your calcium checked!!
