I love the story idea! One of my favorite books is a re-write of 'Beauty and the Beast'... I forget the authors name

.. but it's fabulous. The same author wrote one for 'Snow White' and called it 'Rose Red' (though I've never read that one)... Also theres the Cinderella-esque movie 'Ever After'. Maybe you can use the same concept to name yours. A frequently occuring theme. Some of my other favorite books are by Mercedes Lackey... and her Fairy Godmother theme... re-working fairy tales... I love, love, love those books and how she can keep bringing the same stories up without it being boring.. Have you read those? They might inspire..
