Welcome to the site! You will find a lot of very helpful information here on raising chickens. As others said, definitely social animals; definitely check Craigslist and other groups for chicks, some people do get chickens that hatch chicks no matter what time of year. Check the local animal shelters for friends, too. I know ours sometimes get stray chickens, it’s not impossible that some chicks could end up there.
It may not need heat as much if itwas born around 11/30, but consider getting the chick a brooder plate to have a warm place to snuggle under if you haven’t already. Chicks tend to need supplemental heat the first few weeks of life until they feather out and can lock heat in under their feathers. That could be why she likes snuggling in your hair.
