I found a large clear gob on the floor of the run. It looks like just the white of an egg.

I was shutting up my birds tonight and noticed a large clear gob of something on the floor of the run. Upon inspection with a stick it appears to be just the white of an egg. My hens have only been laying for 2-4 weeks, so there have been a few soft shells and double yolkers, but this looked like just egg white. Has anyone else seen this before? Would it just fall out of one of their vents, as it appears to have done?
Just when I think I am getting the hang of this, something new pops up! Thanks for any light that can be shed.

Could well be a softshell that got all eaten except the white.
Maybe take a look at vents, see if anyone has particularly messy feathers under vent.
