I found an egg by the lagoon***UPDATE****pic added

I was walking in the woods just going for a little walk to see the wild geese,wood ducks, mallards , turkeys and the Bald eagle nest That is in a big tree at the edge of the water of the lagoon . When i whent to walk away from the water something cuaght my eye . It was an egg . It was half in the water and half in the mud .( The lagoon had a lot of flooding this past week ) . So i snatched up the egg and put it in the incubator . I just candled it and its fertile and growing . I think its a mallard but they are so many breeds of wild ducks down there that it could be anything . Its kind of a light olive color . So i hope in 28 days ill have a mystery duckling

Has any one else ever found eggs in the woods or near a lake/pond and hatched them ??

Ohhhhh don't hatch the bald eagle to government will arrest you you can't even have their feathers.

you can get arrested for picking up any wild bird feathers
and maybe ever eggs

You should have left the egg their. The gov't doesnt allow you to take any eggs.

Its not an eagle egg . Its the size of my duck eggs . Its agianst the law to pick up a duck egg that you find ??

i heard somewhere it's illegal to look at wild bird poop for fear that your *optical rays* will kill off beneficial bacteria. true story, i swear
