Several weeks ago I learned one of my hens was a roo. I was so nervous to talk to my neighbors and tell them. I did talk to one right away and she said it was fine, her house is far enough away from the coop that it wouldn't be an issue, but the other neighbor has a long driveway that leads to her house that meets up with my back fence line, so basically very close to the coop. I finally got the nerve to introduce myself (we've only been here four months). She was very nice and said there was no problem, she likes them. She also said she likes my dogs and appreciates when they bark and let her know someone is coming down the drive. YEEE HAW!! I'm fond of the little booger, he's a big Golden laced Polish and is so pretty, he's nice and puts his ladies to bed each night and takes good care of them.

Anyway...had to share.

Thats so great....I had the same response from my neighbors back when i had to ask the same thing. It was such a relief. I'm glad you got good neighbors too
