I got a new rooster

I got this new rooster 2 days ago, who is totally cool, by the way. I have not ever had a rooster until now, and he is just the right combination of swagger and sweet - all the hens think he's da bomb. How do I know? I just know......
But at night, he won't go into the coop. Is this rooster behavior? Or is it just because he is not into the routine here? I have had to go pick him up and put him in for the past 2 nights. Did I miss some important (rooster) step, or will he likely come around and start going in with everyone else at dusk?

No that's normal in a new place! I bet after a couple of days of you putting him on the roost each night he'll go up just fine!!

By golly, he went right in this evening. I think its possible that he is a 'gifted' rooster. Now, if I could just get the guinea chicks to stop trying to spend the night on the fence, things would run as smooth as a fast talking salesman around here.
