This is my second time hatching eggs. This time only chickens, last time we had turkeys as well, one of the turkey... Well its spine and brain were outside it lived until it started pippin then just before it was all way out it died. This time I had some chickens that stopped devoleping my kids and I crack them open because I think its cool to see the difference stages and to teach them about the process. When I cracked one I thought it was the same as the I had last time but as I look closer I realize it is 3 yays and 2 beaks. Has anyone else had anything like this happen?

Wait, you crack them open? Like, when they're alive? (Making sure I'm not misunderstood.)

I don't know! Could be.
Perhaps; I read about research done on (usually stillborn) fawns and calves with two heads, external spines etc, and apparently it is a genetic mutation that begins really early in development, like when the zygote first splits and starts becoming an embryo. It was really interesting and I wish I remembered more...
