I bought 8 buff dewlap eggs from Mothergoose

. 5 ended up to hatch day (I love good quality eggs and a tight-sittin' broody!) and right this minute I have 3 wet babies in the incubator with another working it's way around the shell!

Egg #5 is still alive and I see movement in there so I am watching like a hawk incase I need to perform open-shell surgery....lol. Pics when I move them to the brooder.....

I hope #5 makes it out for you too!

I have been sick with the flu and it is taking it's sweet ol' time going through the house. I will let you know when that suprise box heads your way!

Oh bless your heart! I hope you get to feeling better soon. I know us mom's are not allowed time off to lay in bed and be sick. You already know the surprise is not necessary so don't even let that bother you

#4 just cleared the shell so....Duckyboys, it isn't me, it's good genetics, good packing, and good broodies.

I let hens set these until it was time for them to hatch - these eggs were WAY too important for me to risk incubating myself....

OK, here's a pic of them in the bottom of the cabinet bator. I had to move them from the foam goose-bator because the humidity was too high and they weren't drying out. Sorry for all the chick dust/egg shells - just got finished with a big hatch.....lol
