Be sure the paper isn't too slippery as this can sometimes result in leg problems in chicks. When you do switch to bedding, make sure you don't use cedar shavings, as that can cause respiratory problems in chicks. I use pine shavings.

So cute! I use pine flakes for mine, but cover it with paper towels for the first day or two. If you have the choice of sizes, get the large flake kind, not smaller fine shavings.
