I got new chicks yesterday . . . .

My special order chicks are in. I ordered 2 partridge rocks and 2 speckled sussex pullets. I picked them up yeseterday and they seem to be doing just fine.

It was so funny, , , , they didn't know which chicks were mine. They had to go look in the catalogue to see what the chicks should look like

I'd say you'd love your two new chicks no matter what type of chicken they grow to be! I had wanted Buff Orpingtons, but the only chicks available last June were Black Australorps. And I just LOVE my chickie- CHICK!( she's now a mom of 3 little OEG mixed biddies )

There is plenty of chicken love to go around - - - but these two breeds were the last on my "gotta try them" list.

They have done nothing but sleep that last 24 hours. They get up eat and drink and then go sleep.

Is this normal ?

If it because of the stress from shipping ?
