As an apartment dweller I will never be able to keep my own flock, but there are a few chickens at a location I visit several times a week, and I consider them personal friends. There's a wealth of knowledge here, and it seems like such a friendly place too. I hope you don't mind me lurking around a bit!

Hello KiekenKot.
Welcome to BYC.
I'm sure no one will mind you lurking. There are countless farm workers, smallholding workers, vets, etc who don't own the chickens they care for but care as much about them as those who have their own.
Next time you visit your friends take a few pics and show them here.:)

Yes nobody will mind. Welcome to BYC. Please share pics we’d live to see ;):celebrate

Thank you! My sister adopted two pullets, bantam Brahma's, but found out quicky that her small back yard was not suitable for keeping chickens. Too much noise!

So we found a new home for them, and I visit them often. Their names are Merlot and Shiraz. They live with two other, much larger chickens, one is called Pinot, and belongs to a local breed called Mechelse koekoek (cuckoo of Malines), not sure what the 4th is! Will take some pics some time!
