Well I started with 18 chicks. Then because the color scheme was not working I had to even things out and add more color to the group. Then I kept saying to my husband "what if we end up with a bunch of roosters?" and I had more chicks just happen to show up in my cart at Tractor Supply. Well 39 chickens later we know the sex of them and guess what? Only 5 roosters! I guess I got pretty lucky and even luckier I have a lot of little bantams so I wont have any space issues in the coop.

That worked out awesome!! I feel the chicken math at work, we have four silkies, three are dark (black, grey, and partridge) and one buff. Seems we're a little uneven over here too... thinking we need to go grab a couple more buff, and then a couple more dark, and some more buffs to even that out LoL Chicks should come with addiction warnings.
