I was on top of duckling needs and then I don't know. I guess I forgot. Anyway, I have my ducklings on the flock raiser from Layena if i am not mistaken. The green bag. I have a lot as it is a 50 pound bag and I have only two ducks. I read on here somewhere that they keep their ducklings on starter until they are 2 weeks old and then move them to the grower. I can't remember if the flock raiser I give them is starter and grower. I am almost positive it is but I was wondering since i have so much left if i can just finish them out on it till they are about ten weeks?
Also, I have been giving niacin and was wanting to make sure that ten weeks is when I can stop giving it to them?
Any extras on feed or things to look for from this age on would be appreciated as well.

I think as long as it is grower or developer it is fine. They wont need layer until they start laying. Read the protein level on your feed as long as it is above 20% or so you should be fine. I would continue with the brewers yeast for their whole life, at least I give mine some every week and some of my ducks are over 2 years old.

As long as they get to freerange they will forage a lot of stuff they need. If the protein level in your feed is low just suppliment with scrambled eggs or lentils, or some other protein source.

Some people believe that the food that they provided their ducks /ducklings with does not contain the correct levels of nutrients in it so they add supliments to the feed as a precaution. Vitamins and brewers yeast can make up for anything the feed is lacking. Ducklings do need a higher amount of Niacin than chickens too though- so if you feed ducklings something not manufactured specifically for them- supliments will be required.

This is what I feed mine until a few weeks before they started laying. They will be fine on the Flock Raiser.
