Ok, some of you may have noticed my "eating for cold/fever" thread. My DD had brought home a nice mild case of strep. I of course, not being able to turn down her generous offer of sickness obliged with a mild case of my own.
So, 6 days of low grade fever and massive pig outs later, I decide it's time for antibiotics (which I try not to use but I will be seeing my elderly grandmother soon). Now here's where it gets interesting, I get to the dr office and am asked to use "the pariah mask" while I sit in the waiting room. This swine flu hysteria is over the moon!
Now the funny part is that I was diagnosed as a strep carrier LOL! So the mark of the pariah was well founded, however the stigma misplaced. In any event, perhaps the mask kept me from catching anything else!
