I was getting a little worried because day sixteen came and went and no babies.... but on day 17 I came home and there was a little baby waiting for me!

He seems really scared... jumping all around. How do I get him to eat and drink without totally freaking him out? When I tap the food like I did when I hatched chicks, he just freaks out and runs away. I hope he gets more brothers and sisters soon!

UPDATE: he (or she!) is getting the idea of food and water, but still no other peeps

I have one egg with a pip for about 24 hours and thats all the progress it's made...It is still alive, jiggling, and has an air hole. Will it make it?

However if you only hatch it out it may eventually want to be around you i had a button hen like that she was hte only one to hatch and was a wonderful lil pet bird I miss her a lot. Anywho, I would just hold it and touch just the tip of it's tiny beak in the water and let it go and leave it alone. Once it noticed "mmm water!" it'll come back to the last place it remembered getting some
