6-8 weeks. I agree, that is a cockerel. He has a bright red comb.

Cockerel. Males start to crow when they feel like it. Its an individual thing.

In my experience anywhere between 3-7 months is pretty normal. It's definitely an individual thing

I bought my first one on July 26 he was a day old then I bought another one 3 days later but nobody knew how old he was but he was bigger than my 1st one and neither of them have started to crow yet
