You could grind up and fortify your pellets with nutritional yeast or fish meal if you have any. Maybe fortify it with egg somehow?

I’m not sure as it costs a lot in fuel to go we haven’t really decided when to go as we were just there a few days ago

Wow! You sure live a far from stores. Maybe try crushing up hard boiled egg. That might* help. If you have unfertilized grass near by, you can also try letting them on the grass. Ducklings are amazing and can look for food themselves.
