I have 6 chicks, someone wants to give me 3 more...0

Ok so, I will not add any more chickens to the flock, will keep it to 6. I will buy a metre extension which will give me 4 metres of run for them. I am planning to let them free range in the garden anyway for at least an hour a day.
Where are you located? The main problem with a small run and coop is when they will be required to stay in them because if bad weather.

I’m in London, planning to put weather and wind proof covers when the weather gets bad. Also, could I leave the Coop door open, so they can come in and out?

The coop still needs to be bigger. At night they need to roost and a meter long roost bar is no where near enough for six chickens. They also won’t be able to be in the coop with all other chickens at once which will lead to fighting and bullying.

You really need to either make the coop bigger or get another one. I have 12 sq feet in the coop per chicken but I spoilt them a bit. 3-4 sq feet of open space per bird in the coop is the minimum.

Just as ihavesomechickens said it's the actual coop size that is too small. I have 6 chickens and 6 feet of roosting bar. My coop has 8 sq feet per chicken with the option to open the other side giving them 14 sq feet per chicken if weather is bad. Outside in the run 30 sq feet per bird. And yes, this is about double the space needed but I wont have to worry about them packing each other and killing each other.

I dont really have too many pictures since they have moved in. I currently have 10 chickens but once they are bigger in about 2 months 4 of them will be moving to a friends flock. So I'm probably not the best to go off of, we are very large, I will have 5 nesting boxes for 6 chickens once they start laying. Then this is the run during build. Currently have landscaping to do around it and hubby is putting up steel roof over half of it, so things are still in the process for the run but it will be complete soon.

Heres my 7 when they were 14 week olds. This coop is 10 ft wide. You're 6 are not going to fit ince full grown. You either need a bigger coop or a smaller flock.
