I have a 8'x8'x6' coop. How many could i have in it?

I have a big coop and going to extend the run alot more. How many will work for in it when mostly they are in the run and only in the coop at nite? I have 5 now and have only gotten about 3-5 eggs since nov with them just in the last few weeks is that normal for that long?

The usual guidelines -- which are guidelines, not hard-and-fast rules -- are:

4 square feet per chicken in the coop,
10 square feet per chicken in the run,
1 linear foot of roost per chicken,
and 1 square foot of permanent, 24/7/365 ventilation per chicken.

This can vary depending on your specific situation, with some things like integrating new birds requiring more space.

What kind of chickens do you have and how old are they?

I have 5 chickens, all 8-month pullets, and am getting 3-5 eggs per day myself. Three of my ladies, a California White and 2 Blue Australorps, are breeds known as good egg layers while the other two, a Light Brahma and a Silver-Laced Wyandotte, are not known for high egg production so I figure that I'm getting exactly what I should expect from the current flock.

That would be why you get few eggs.

Pullets lay the most eggs in their first year. After they have their first molt they lay fewer but larger eggs. Then production declines as the years pile up.

Many people cycle out 1/3 of their hens each year to ensure a steady supply of eggs.
