Went out to let the chooks out this morning and could hear cheeps! Looked under Constance my silkie and there was one chick with one neatly hatched!! The eggs weren't hers as I didn't have a silkie Roo at the point she decided to go broody. Not sure what they are yet as I put 4 eggs in there. The other two were cold and no pips so maybe they were duds??
Anyway here is a pic of the first little one!!
Edited to add 3 pics of chick number 2!! This hatched from a blue egg. Two more eggs to go, the welsummer X is cheeping but no pips on shell and black rock egg nothing as yet!!
