Gidday folks, I spoke to the chook society today by phone and the boss wants to come and have a look at my flock!
He will let me know what standard the silkies are compared to what he sees on the circuit.
He has been in the newspapers judging shows!
Im really excited, Id better go out and housekeep in the pen!
He gets lots of phone calls from people wanting to buy silkies and he wants to know what mine are like before he refers them to me i guess!
Ive only just started serious breeding and I guess i will now need a bator to hatch out as many as possible to keep up with the demand!
I have only 2 laying hens at present with the younger ones expecting to breed in spring! the rest are little roos!
Im saving the eggs from the adults until Tuesday when I get my bator!!
