I have a question with the LG Incubator

I have the thermometer that came with the bator in there even tho people say it isnt very reliable, I have attached to it on the plastic my Acu.Rite Thermometer/Hygrometer. My question is since we put that clear plastic deal over the eggs what happens when the egg under it pips will that prevent it from getting air?

You mean the little plastic card that the thermometer is attached to?? It'll get knocked off during the hatch...or, when you lay your eggs on their sides for hatching, just prop it up against one or along the side of the incubator.

I should have done that and yea the plastic card the thermometer comes on is what I am talking about.

I have to keep moving the baby chicks off of it, I was worried they would smother the others.
