That Ken will be coming home with 10 chickens he saw at the feed store that looked HORRIBLE. Bald except for their wing feathers, bad clip job, bantam roo. He couldn't tell the breed because they were in such bad shape. It is all he has talked about since seeing them yesterday....... He thinks they were confiscated due to poor treatment,

We dont have an extra run, but have the stuff to make it. I am sure he could thrown a temp together in a few minutes.

Aww... Poor things! You'll have to keep us updated! So, if he does, just exactly how far away from your current flock will you be putting them?!

I'm hoping for their sake he gets them... I'm ALWAYS a sucker for a (or multiple) sad face(s)... You can bet I'd take them, then hide them until they healed a bit before hubby saw them! We wouldn't need any

... He already does enough of that with me around

We have pens full. They will have to be far enough away for a quarantine period, but we have 2.5 acres, so that is not a problem....
