where I am
I have a lot of questions about breeding chickens.
1. If you cross a blue chicken of one breed with a blue chicken of another breed, would the offspring still have BBS feathering?
2. If I crossed a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte with another blue chicken of another breed, what would the offspring look like?
3. If I crossed a blue egg laying pea combed chicken with a single combed chicken, would the F1s be heterozygous for pea comb, and if I bred the F1s together, would the about 12.5% of the F2s be single combed and lay blue eggs?
Thank you.

I’m pretty sure they would look like chickens.

(Sorry, I don’t have the answer you were looking for, hopefully my reply will get someone more knowledgeable on genetics than I to look and answer you.)

Yes, genes work the same in every breed. (Though the makeup of certain patterns are sometimes comprised of different genes.)

Thank you.
The offspring would be blue, black, splash with some "leakage" of red or red and silver. I know it's hard to visualize but it would basically be an intermediate genotype.
