i have a wire run 5 ft tall and i put a tarp over the top

how do i keep them from roosting on top of the tarp they seem to find away to get on top of the run.

Could you give more detail? Are they supposed to be IN the run but are getting out and onto it? or when they are free ranging? or is it not completely coving it, just a part of it.

also i put a dog carrier in there and u think they will go in it at night nope they roost on it instread.

Make it sloped is the only thing I can suggest. Or if you can block them from getting up there completely. They will continue trying as they want to roost as high as possible.
