Silver mylar ballons filled with helium. So far is working as of two weeks ago. I got my balloons from party city and they come on a large clip. Can clip them to tops of tree branches with long ribbon or fishing wire; etc. Any thing else to to heavy. Working great. I also bought a can of helium from the party store as these ballons can be refilled. I have 10 ballons placed in strategics spot in know attack areas.

Lost one of my 5 month old Silkies to an attack. Hawk for some reason didn't get a good hold on her. Left her for me to have to put down once I realized I couldn't save her. Never had to pull a chickens neck before. Much less one I raised from an egg. I was traumatized. The hawks circled for a couple of days after the balloons went up. Then they left. And my chickens have come out of hiding. I also put up a plastic owl and move it around as I do chores.

I have thought about that. I live on three and a quarter acres with neighbors very close and my fences are in bad need of repair. One I can contain a turkey or two I might just do that. Thanks.
