I have face mites!

Hi all,
I took a look at my girls this morning and noticed black spots on their face and base of their combs, and they are covered in mites. We have had mites a long time ago at the base of their feathers about four years ago that we’ve managed to prevent from happening with Keeping their dust baths full of Saturday lime, and regular coop cleanings. However, I have never dealt with mites on Chicken’s faces. The last time we dealt with mites, we bathe them and then dusted them and clean the entire coop and run. Should I wash their faces? Or is there another way to handle this since it’s so close to their eyes and beak. Any help or advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I try to do things as naturally as possible, however, if there are products that anybody in the group recommends for getting rid of these pests, let me know as well thank you.

Elector-PSP. I think you have to spray the entire coop and the entire chicken. All at once, and eliminate any places mites could hide and avoid the spray - so full coop cleanout and get the Elector-PSP into any cracks, crevices, etc. I don't remember if it does hatched mites or hatched mites and eggs - might need a second treatment after eggs hatch. But this is the stuff that works, and it's pretty benign to humans and chickens.

I’ll look into it thank you 🙏

I've had trouble with Vaseline not being totally effective for foot mites. I like to use Nu-Stock for feet mites, but for whole chicken or other mites, i'd look into Elector-PSP first. Now, Vaseline with Sulfur in it might work fine, Nu-Stock is basically sulfur powder in a petroleum type base, but they've got the sulfur powder nicely distributed, and sometimes powder distribution can be tricky, so I just use the Nu-Stock.
