i have never had an egg like this!!

my son found this egg outside of the coop today! i dont think ive ever seen one this small! i have 6 hens and get about 3 or 4 eggs a day. i know my BA are laying and the BR one of the golden comets got bite by a dog and seems to have stunted her hormones because she has just started showing signs and everone else looks like they should be laying. i have suspected that they may be hiding eggs but havent found any. could this be the first egg from my tramatized chicken?

sometimes my eggs are freakishly small too. i wouldn't be too worried, probably just a fluke.

To me it looks like I think they call a "pullet egg" although that might be the wrong name for it. The first egg are usually small.

well that makes me feel better! hopefuly this is her first egg. none of my others were ever this small so hopefully it improves!

i was wondering that, because it was outside of the coop. but it could have been there a day or two!! it was the same color as my eggs. it had a hole in it and i went to dump out the inside and it had no yolk, i figured something had ate it!
