I have never processed a chicken before. Warning: graphic

He is adorable. And much less smelly than what he looked like I think!

Ha! It's one of my precious baby goats. Isn't he cute?

I thought skunk at first also, actually for a long time, but then I looked closer and figured it must be a baby goat.

I used to use those for mosquitos as well. However, I read about a less costly, and I think safer method. I place a couple feeder goldfish (.29 cents at Walmart) in each of my stock tanks, garden water barrels. I was amazed that within a day all the mosquitos and larve were gone and I haven't seen one in months. Just a suggestion.

I keep mosquito fish (tougher than goldfish and smaller) in most of my ponds and stock tanks that I grow aquatic plants in. But I have dogs jumping in and out of this fountain, if I don't want the pup learning to fish from my fish pond, I probably shouldn't put fish in her pond. As it is I think she is eating a dead toad. Somehow it ended up dead and in the fish pond, and the pup visited the compost heap a bit ago... Someone will have bad breath.

mosquito fish are a member of the guppy family, extremely hardy, can survive freezing temps and 100 degree temps without aeration, livebearing. Intolerant of chlorine. frequently eaten by larger fish such as goldfish and koi, but reproduce heavily enough to keep a colony going a long time. I got my first ones from a pond store about 15 years ago. Don't know where to buy them today.
